What I'm doing now

Last updated July 2024

Location: Madison, WI + some family travel

  • Updating a list of healthtech companies who are working on respiratory health. Get your copy here.

  • I'm a member of the Early Ventures Investment Committee at LifeArc.

  • Writing an irregular newsletter about my experience building and selling a health technology company, and partnership and acquisition strategy more generally.

  • Serving as a non-executive director at Closed Loop Medicine, a UK-based company developing technology to enable personalized dosing of high-value medicines.

  • Writing a workbook for founders to help them encourage and prepare for partnering and acquisition. Get notified when it’s ready

  • Advising a handful of healthtech companies, including NuvoAir.

  • Early days building a new venture designed to assemble teams and technology to create new companies to explore latent healthtech opportunities in rare diseases.

  • Back to drumming regularly - now working through Gary Chester’s New Breed - in my bomb shelter office, which may explain my tinnitus.

  • Playing a lot of squash at the Madison Squash Workshop.

  • Getting into wing foiling in Caribbean and on Lake Mendota (on ice).

  • Endless family adventures - boys are 20, 17 and 13 - including the first season of middle-school basketball, which has a lot of fouls.

  • I’m an investor in around 20 technology businesses, including Marley Medical, xDot, Portal Telemedicina, among others.
